Abstract

In this paper, the model of product diffusion using agent-based model is described. It is found that the interaction environment and the information transfer characteristics affect the condition of diffusion, and the phenomena in real world such as chasm and large-scale cascade axe observed. Moreover by analyzing the network externality market, it is also clarified that the same two factors are effective in the format competition and the word-of-mouth communication is confirmed to be effective for the marketing strategy.
