Abstract
A stochastic individual-based model of the spread of tuberculosis is
considered. The model is based on a system of stochastic recurrent
equations with integer-valued variables and discrete time. Individuals
differ by the duration of different states of their disease
(noninfectious, infectious, in remission) and by values of the
parameters describing their life time distribution. Monte Carlo methods
are used for numerical experiments based on the model. The dynamics of
the number of individuals depending on the variation of the parameters
of the model is studied.
